General Information
I am an freelance web designer with over ten years experience in HTML markup - CSS - web site and database design. I will work with you on a one-to-one basis to meet your web site needs and complete the contracted work in a timely fashion.
I specialize in designing standards compliant web pages, that will be accessible to all visitors to your site. My pages are designed to be viewable by any browser and are clean, valid, and fast rendering.
I can design sites to your requirements ranging from single page personal or business ad sites to multi-page, dynamic, database driven sites.
I avoid and do not recommend using add-ons such as Flash or Java, which require users to have special software installed and can be costly to code. Most of all, these so-called "features" limit the number of visitors to your site because of their non-standards nature.
I do not recommend developing web sites in XHTML markup. You can view this site in XHTML (served with the proper MIME type of application/xhtml+xml) but be warned - the site will not display in Internet Explorer! Although intended for web developers, David's page fully explains the reasons why XHTML should be avoided.
