I’m Ed Vasser, a freelance Web designer, located in Frankfort, Kentucky. I have over ten years experience in HTML markup - CSS styling - Web site and database design. I can design sites to your requirements ranging from single page personal or business ad sites to multi-page, dynamic, database driven sites.
I design standards compliant Web pages, that will be accessible to all visitors to your site. My pages are designed to be viewable by any browser and are clean, valid, and fast rendering. This entire Web site is an example of a properly marked up and valid Web site, using minimal graphics and simple CSS styling.
I specialize in fixing broken, poorly marked up Web sites. Did you pay hundreds, even thousands of dollars for a Web site that ended up looking nothing like the design you selected? Does the design fall apart when a visitor to your site has a screen resolution that is less then a specific size or needs to change the font size? Does your site still work for visitors that aren't using graphical browsers or pointing devices? I can repair these problems and give you a Web site that is standards compliant and will display the way you expected.
I discourage the use of add-ons such as Flash or Java, which require users to have special "plug in" software installed and can be costly to code. Most of all, these so-called "features" limit the number of visitors to your site because of their non-standards nature; cause extremely slow page rendering; and often result in pages that will not display properly in all browsers.
